Yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Aka: basic things to know how to cook when you move out of your parents' house. I had this urge this past weekend to make cookies, so we did! Just like I used to with my mom and sister :)

Ingredients:
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp warm water
1 bag (12-oz) semisweet chocolate chips


Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars.
3. Add vanilla and eggs and mix until combined.
4. Stir in flour, a little bit at a time, then baking soda, and salt. If you need some extra liquid, add no more than a Tbsp of warm water.
5. Using a wooden spoon, slowly add in the chocolate chips to your batter.
6. Using a table spoon, scoop dough onto a non-stick or sprayed cookie sheet and pop into the oven. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are browned and the center remains slightly soft.
7. Enjoy!
